Virtual Classrooms
Virtual classrooms are surrounding the “new age” of schooling. The advantages of virtual classrooms are that a person relationship between students and teachers are formed. If there is a shortage of teachers, virtual courses allows teachers to teach more classes than usually in a regular schooling system (example is that a Spanish teacher has twenty-one classrooms). Also, a virtual classroom allows students to take classes that are not given in regular schooling systems. Some disadvantages are; lack of face-to-face interaction, human qualities is not being maintained. There are limitations to some who cannot access a computer or may have some imparities (example is a hearing impaired student). Virtual classrooms in my opinion are successful, at least for me, and using video can be a new advancement, instead of plenty or lots of reading materials on the computer. A blended classroom is something that should have been back in high school. A blended class is where everything is done virtually, but with teachers’ assistance at hand as well.
